COMPETITION 2017

 

The City of St-Priest is organizing an International Piano Competition which will take place at the Theo Argence Theatre from 10th to 12th November 2017. The semi-final and the final are open to the public. Admission is free on reservation.

 APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities, aged 15 to 30 years old on May 15th 2017.
Full application materials should ONLY be sent online at www.ipc.stpriest.fr between May 15th and September 1st 2017. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The Jury is chaired by Pascal Nemirovski

Pascal NEMIROVSKI (France)

Chairman of the Jury, Concert Pianist, Professor and International Chair in Piano, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Honorary Professor, Royal Academy of Music in London.

Emma BLOXHAM (UK)

Editor Live Music and New Generation Artists BBC Radio 3.

Jonathan BLOXHAM (UK)

Assistant Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO). Artistic Director of the Festival Northern Chords.

Pierig ESCHER (Switzerland)

Senior Artist Manager at the music and Concert Agency Caecilia (Geneva/Zurich). Director of the Meisterinterpreten series in Zurich at the Tonhalle.

Markus GROH (Germany)

Concert Pianist and Professor at the Universität der Künste, Berlin.

Natalia TROULL (Russia)

Concert Pianist and Professor at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Moscow.

Ilana VERED (Israël)

Concert Pianist and Artistic Director of the Festival MusicFestPerugia.

AWARDS

The winners’ ceremony will take place immediately after the deliberation of the jury and the public vote. The prizes will be presented at the Theater Théo Argence, in the presence of the Mayor, the elected representative in charge of Culture, a representative of the public, the Jury and the organizers November 12th, 2017 at 18:30 at the Theater Théo Argence followed by a cocktail.
