  • International Piano Competition

    The City of St-Priest is organizing an International Piano Competition which will take place at the Theo Argence Theatre from 10th to 12th November 2017. The semi-final and the final are open to the public. Admission is free on reservation.

International Competition of Piano

November 10, 11 and 12, 2017 in Saint-Priest.
Considering the very high level of applications for this first edition, the Artistic Committee of the pre-selection has decided to proceed 35 candidates to the semi-final instead of 30 originally planned.

Jonathan BLOXHAM (UK)

Assistant Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Artistic Director of the Festival Northern Chords.

Pierig ESCHER (Switzerland)

Senior Artist Manager at the music and Concert Agency Caecilia (Geneva/Zurich). Director of the Meisterinterpreten series in Zurich at the Tonhalle.

Markus GROH (Germany)

Concert Pianist and Professor at the Universität der Künste, Berlin.

Natalia TROULL (Russia)

Concert Pianist and Professor at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Moscow.

Ilana VERED (Israël)

Concert Pianist and Artistic Director of the Festival MusicFestPerugia.


The winners’ ceremony will take place immediately after the deliberation of the jury and the public vote. The prizes will be presented at the Theater Théo Argence, in the presence of the Mayor, the elected representative in charge of Culture, a representative of the public, the Jury and the organizers November 12th, 2017 at 18:30 at the Theater Théo Argence followed by a cocktail.
